Where's that pause button?
My baby is already 4 months old and the developments follow each other at a rapid pace.
Time for a new update!
Consultancy office
Last month there was a date with the clinic on the agenda. We went there once when Leana was a month old, so I was curious about the measurement and weighing moment! Leana is now 62 centimeters and weighed 6,880 grams at the appointment. So she neatly follows her own line and is doing fine! Because I had the 22-week injection (whooping cough vaccination) during pregnancy, the first injections were now also planned. She was allowed to skip the injections that are normally earlier on the program because she had already received the antibodies in the abdomen through me. Of course the injections were equally painful, but Leana soon forgot. I had bought paracetamol suppositories just in case, but Leana has hardly had any problems. She did sleep more than usual and the next day she cried a little more often, but that was all. In terms of bottles, a few things have changed last month: we now offer bottles of 180 cc water with 6 scoops of nutrition. She is now on 5 bottles and doing well here!
Pause button
And now my baby is already 4 months old and now and then I am looking for the pause button. How fast! She has discovered her vocal cords and is crowing madly in the box. She grabs with her little hands, is kicking her legs more and more and is really the sunshine in the house. When I get her out of bed in the morning, she always greets me with a big smile, wonderful! In the meantime she is even trying to roll over on her side, so do you understand that I cannot understand with my head that this little thing was still mini and newborn four months ago? Well, that newborn is now off haha. I have such a vague suspicion that in my experience this baby grows even faster than other baby's. That is why I instinctively resolve to just make just as many photos and videos and Leana can cuddle up on the couch with Mommy every evening, because before you know it they are big. I'm just crying in a corner!

First day at daycare
And so we rolled on to the next mini milestone: the first day at daycare! This was noted in cow letters in my diary, because this was the first day I would spend without Leana since she was born. So I am not that kind of mother who hates to give her away to the caretaker. So I put her bag ready the night before, set the alarm extra early to make the morning routine run smoothly and dropped her on time at the shelter! I had a short chat with the caretaker to discuss all the ins & outs around Leana, but they are actually quite short. At the end of the day, Tom picked up Leana and she had done a great job. I noticed she was very tired after such a first day, so she slept like a log.
